Ibis OSO
Built from the ground up to deliver a new level of smooth, fast, and durable performance, the full-carbon-fiber Oso features our first-ever upper-link suspension dw-link platform. It stacks 155mm of rear travel with 170mm up front and is powered by a Bosch Performance line CX motor.
Large and extra large Oso frames are built around matching 29-inch wheels, while small and medium frames get the mixed-wheel treatment and shorter chainstays. That keeps the Oso from ever feeling unwieldy. In fact, it’s pretty damn wieldy.
The Bosch Performance line CX has a quiet, powerful 85 NM drive unit, which offers the most natural-feeling acceleration since the invention of gravity. On top of that, you get Bosch’s two-year warranty, a network of 2,400 dealers across the U.S., UL safety-certified batteries, and its carbon-neutral operations. So, in case you were wondering, that’s why we went with Bosch.
With a deep 750wh battery on sizes medium thru XL and a 625wh battery on the small, the Oso is built to go big and still have enough juice left to go home.
It may look a little different, but the Oso’s Upper Link suspension is still dw-link. That means it packs all the traction and efficiency you’d expect from an Ibis, but with a more supportive leverage curve to keep up with all the demands of a full-powered e‑bike.

Bosch EBike
Mid-drive systems now make up approximately 90% of the ebike market, Bosch is a worldwide leader in the category. The mid drive system is light weight, centrally located on the bike, and the direct power is extremely efficient. With 4 different drive units, and various battery options, Bosch makes systems for electric bikes which are designed for recreational riding, commuting, off road riding and even cargo bikes.
Bosch drive units offer smooth acceleration, plenty of power and a low centre of gravity. Paired with their intuitive controller systems, the e-bikes offer a very natural riding feel. The Bosch ebike system offers a 4 tiered assist system between 30% and 300%. The batteries are made up of lithium ion cells, with a high quality monitoring system. We offer ebikes from Scott and Ibis equipped with the Bosch drive systems.
Shimano STEPS
Similar to Bosch, Shimano makes a mid drive system for ebike manufactures to use when designing electric bikes. Shimano's systems are very lightweight, and smooth riding. With the drive unit placed around the crank, the bicycles centre of gravity is quite low. The 3 tiered controller system gives you the option to run low, medium or high assist levels, or run the bike without assist. Shimano makes two different batteries, with capacity up to 150km (optimum conditions) and 1000 charge cycles. We carry Norco and Santa Cruz Bikes equipped with the Shimano STEPS System.
