Poker Ride

Saturday June 6, 2020. Powell River Poker Ride.

Join us for the second annual Powell River Poker Ride. Navigate your way through various checkpoints located on the sweet single track of Powell River, to collect your poker chips. Cash in the chips for your cards at the our wrap up Willingdon Beach Park for a chance to win some sweet prizes!

Format

Ride at your own pace. Checkpoints will be released on Trailforks, and emailed at 9:00 am on June 6. There will be 5 checkpoints, and 3 bonus checkpoints. You must collect tokens at the 5 regular checkpoints to enter your hand. If you hit the 3 bonus checkpoints, you get to draw an extra card for each. Choose your own route, ride at your own place to collect all the tokens, and redeem them for your poker hand at the wrap up party at Willingdon Beach at 5:00.

Shuttle & Recommended Route

For those looking to collect all the 5 required poker chips, but looking for a shorter ride. We will offer a shuttle service from Willingdon Beach, to Farside trail, near the top of Duck Lake. Navigate your way through Duck Lake, Cranberry and Millennium Park back to the beach. A recommended route will be offered.

When

Riders can start to collect tokens from 9:00 am when the map is released. You must be at Willingdon Beach between 4:00 and 5:00 to cash in your poker chips. After 5pm, we will do prizing. Food trucks have been arranged for the finish. BYO plates and cutlery to reduce waste!
